to promptly and thoroughly investigate all complaints. Chief Boykins believes
it is essential that all residents have a high degree of confidence in the
South Bend Police Department. He has setup two locations where residents
may file complaints about the conduct of a police officer: the Martin Luther
King Center, 1522 Linden Avenue and the Marycrest Building,
2015 W. Western Avenue. Each Tuesday from 2 to 6 PM, LT. John Collins
will be at one of these locations unless there are overriding circumstances
such as illness. He will be at the MLK Center on June 24, Marycrest on
July 1, the MLK Center on July 8, and so forth.
