Children and Youth
Currently we have over 100 children from newborn to High School.
Children and youth are an important part of our church and we
strive to involve them, provide for them, and integrate them as best we
can into all our activities. During certain times of the year (about 9 weeks in the Fall and a similar time early in the year) children who are age 4 through 2nd grade may participate in Young Children in Worship during the worship hour. This is not a traditional children's church, but rather a hands-on time for children to hear Bible stories and worship God in their own way. When Young Children and Worship is not in session, children are incorporated into the regular worship time with children's stories, songs, bulletins, etc. Junior and Senior High School youth are often involved in worship as leaders and participants. Youth share gifts in drama, scripture reading, music, ushering, and even sometimes in teaching. We feel it is important to encourage children and youth to be active participants in worship. |
